Taking his time on JoyNews’ PMExpress with Evans Mensa on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, the Effutu Member of Parliament emphasized the need for communicators to explain what was bequeathed to the government and how far the administration has come with them.

“It is important for communicators of the party and government to intensify telling the story of the government and tell it well. That is lacking and there’s an urgent need to pick this up” he said.

He also urged government communicators to admit to the fact that though there are huge challenges, there are measures in place to normalize the situation.

“Let me point out that we must not end at communicating what is happening to the people, but we must also embark on actions good enough to change the narrative” he advised.

The Deputy Leader noted that the two catastrophic events of COVID-19 and the ongoing crisis in Ukraine have adversely affected the economy, something he said ought to be hammered on by communicators and the measures so far taken to deal with them.

Afenyo-Markin highlighted the survey he has conducted in his constituency and what steps he is taking to improve on the numbers of the NPP in both presidential and parliamentary polls.
