Two individuals, identified as the Secretary and Fiator of Sokode Gbogame, who were taken into police custody following last Sunday’s violent clash between students of Sokode Senior High Technical School (SHTS) and youth from the community, have been granted bail.

The Asafofia, who was also arrested, has also been released. The assembly member for the area, Mac Billions Bansah, confirmed these developments to Citi News.

A committee will also be commissioned to investigate Sunday’s incident.

The clash, which erupted over yet-to-be-disclosed grievances, resulted in tensions between the school and the local youth.

Authorities are expected to use the committee’s findings to address the underlying causes and prevent future occurrences.

Security however remains on high alert in the area as stakeholders work towards restoring peace.
