Galamsey Fight: UTAG Urges Gov’t To Revoke All Mining Licenses

The University Teachers Association Of Ghana, (UTAG) has urged the government to swiftly revoke all licenses that are not yet finalised but have started the processes.

In the view of the group, the government must also take measures to annul existing licenses for mining in waterbodies and forest reserves.

“We are closely monitoring this process and expect Parliament to take swift action to expedite the revocation” a statement issued by Dr. Eliasu Mumuni National Secretary of UTAG said.
