As Ghana gears up for the upcoming elections, Alhaji Boniface Sadiqque Abubakar, a former MP for Salaga and Madina, has called on Ghanaians to vote for unity and progress.
A statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra said he was speaking to chiefs and youth in the Salaga South constituency of the Savannah Region.
It said he urged citizens to cast their ballots based on integrity and a shared vision for Ghana, rather than on tribal, religious, or party affiliations.
Addressing the gathering, Boniface endorsed Alan Kyerematen, the presidential candidate of the Movement for Change, describing him as a leader with the capacity to transform Ghana.
“Alan Kyerematen’s vision will bring meaningful change to this country. He is a man who believes in progress, accountability, fairness, and inclusion,” he declared, emphasizing that Alan stands for every Ghanaian regardless of background.
He urged constituents to stand behind Alan Kyerematen, framing this support as a commitment to progress and integrity.
“Alan is a credible leader who will lead Ghana to a better place,” he said, adding that a vote for Alan is a vote for a fair and transformative government.
Even though the Movement for Change is not fielding parliamentary candidates, Boniface encouraged the electorate to select trustworthy parliamentary representatives who would work in tandem with Alan’s vision.
“Vote for candidates you can trust – those who will work effectively alongside Alan for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” he advised.
The former MP also underscored the importance of unity in the electoral process, urging all political factions to maintain peace before, during, and after the elections.
“We are one Ghana, and our political differences should never divide us,” Boniface emphasized, calling on all supporters to uphold a peaceful election.
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming love and support shown by the people of the Savannah Region.
“Alan Kyerematen will never turn his back on you, as others have done,” he assured, leaving the audience with a message of hope and commitment to serve the people of Ghana.
