Former President John Dramani Mahama and other bigwigs of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) stormed Parliament on Tuesday, July 7, 2023, to witness the swearing-in of the newly elected Member of Parliament for Assin North, James Gyakye Quayson.
The atmosphere was electric as foMr Mahama and his entourage entered the chamber, with NDC MPs and the audience in the gallery enthusiastically singing the party’s revolutionary anthem and other songs.
As Mr Mahama arrived, he went over to the Minority side of the House, greeted the NDC MPs and engaged in warm exchanges with them before taking his seat.
This vibrant entrance added excitement and anticipation to the upcoming swearing-in ceremony, demonstrating the NDC’s unity and support for Quayson.
The NDC MPs who turned up in their number were clad in white apparel to welcome Gyakye Quayson’s swearing-in.
