A campaign manager for Kennedy Agyapong, one of the contenders in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries scheduled for November 4th, has issued a stern warning to fellow Members of Parliament (MPs).

Owusu stated that MPs who vote against Agyapong in the upcoming polls should be prepared to face the consequences, as Agyapong’s campaign team would actively work against their candidature in their respective constituencies.

Owusu emphasized the reluctance of some prominent MPs, such as Honorable K.T. Hammond and Afenyo-Markin, who have not endorsed Agyapong despite their close friendships.

He attributed their hesitance to psychological intimidation and fear of losing their positions.

Owusu vowed, “When we get the chance to win, most of these MPs will be cleaned up. We will campaign against them.”

The NPP internal presidential primaries, slated for November 4, 2023, will witness fierce competition among four candidates: Kennedy Agyapong, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, and Francis Addia-Nimoh.

Despite independent polls projecting Vice President Bawumia as the frontrunner with an estimated 78% of the anticipated votes from over 200,000 delegates, Agyapong’s campaign team remains undeterred in their pursuit of victory.
