The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Salaga South has declared the party is united, stable and battle-ready to retain the constituency parliamentary seat and increase the presidential votes in the 2024 general elections.

The party assured its teeming followers in the constituency to therefore disregard acts being perpetrated by some few miscreants parading as NDC members.

The Salaga South NDC has been in the news in the past month over a number of disturbances sparked by some disgruntled members.

On Saturday 26th June these disgruntled members including some suspended members of the party in the Constituency vandalized the party office and disrupted a meeting.

The group again disrupted another meeting on Tuesday 19th July called by the Regional Executive to upraise Constituency Executives towards the upcoming branch executive elections.

The Salaga South Constituency Secretary, Alhaji Yussif Hairat, who addressed the development argued no true NDC will do what these disgruntled members are doing.

“No true NDC will work with the NPP against the party’s fortunes. No true NDC members will work towards the defeat of the NDC’s candidates in any election. No true NDC member will work with the NPP towards the defeat of the NDC candidate and when that fails, they resort to venting their frustrations against the NDC party.”

“The people perpetrating these acts to paint a bad picture of the NDC to the world were the same people who worked with the NPP in 2016 and sabotaged our parliamentary candidate leading to the painful and disgraceful defeat in the 2016 general elections and we know all of them by name.”

A team committed to the victory of the NDC, he said, is not looking back and is not going to look back and dignify the abhorrent behaviour of miscreants and charlatans.

“We will look forward and remain focused in our quest to retain our seat and NOTHING, and we repeat NOTHING is going to stop us from retaining the Salaga South seat in the 2024 elections.”

Alhaji Hairat stated the NDC won the Salaga South seat in 2020 when these same disgruntled members worked against the party.

He assured the loyal and committed members they will work assiduously to deliver another victory to the great NDC.

The honeymoon for the misbehaviours that occurred on June 25 and July 19, he warned, is over and that they will henceforth match all deviant acts boot for boot.
