Wofa KK was a revered voice on the airwaves, known for his significant contributions to popular programs such as “Boiling Point” and “National Agenda,” often stepping in for the main host, Fiifi Boafo.

Before joining Oman FM, Kwakye had made his mark at Adom 106.3 FM, part of the Multimedia Group Limited, and had also served as a correspondent for Net2 TV, covering both parliamentary and presidential news.

Kwabena Kwakye was a staunch supporter of Kenneth Agyapong during his bid for the presidential nomination of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), despite the campaign’s eventual loss to Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.

His dedication extended beyond the airwaves, as he was appointed by President Akufo-Addo in 2017 to serve on the Board of the Ghana National Petroleum Company (GNPC), under the leadership of Freddie Blay, the former acting National Chairman of the NPP.

He also worked alongside notable figures including Professor Kofi Agyekum, Professor Kwesi Yankah, Mr. Kwabena Agyapong, and Hon. K.T. Hammond, who is currently the Trade Minister.

Kwabena Kwakye’s passing is a significant loss to the broadcasting world and those who knew him.
