Yakubu Issahaku, Aide-de-Camp to former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has alleged that his private residence in Sapeiman was raided by armed National Security operatives on Saturday, April 5.
According to Issahaku, he received a WhatsApp message at approximately 6:14 p.m. alerting him that around 30 masked, armed military officers had forcibly entered his home.
He claims the operatives conducted a thorough search of the property, leaving behind significant damage.
Among the reported destruction were broken security doors, dismantled CCTV systems, and the removal of internet routers, switches, and the home’s hard disk. Issahaku states that no warrant or explanation was provided during the operation.
He identified the officer leading the raid as Superintendent of Police Sulemana Sule, currently stationed at Jubilee House. Issahaku noted that he personally knows the officer, who is fully aware of their acquaintance—a detail he says raises further concerns about the motive behind the action.
