The Leadership of Mobile Money Agents Association of Ghana have expressed concern over the rampant attacks of its members by armed robber.
According to the Association, the frequent killing of its members has left them stranded and fearful for their lives.
“As mobile money agents, we play a critical role in facilitating access to financial services in remote and underserved areas. However, the rising spate of armed robbery attacks on our members across the country is alarming and threatens to undermine our financial inclusion drive” the MoMo agents said in a statement issued in Accra in Friday
The statement follows the shooting of one of its members Ms. Patricia Nimako by armed robbers in the Ashanti region.
